Decorated Vietnam Army helicopter combat, dual rated instructor and test pilot, 25 years of service to the Port Authority of NY/NJ, having retired as Chief Pilot of the helicopter unit with more than 20,000 flight hours. Participated in the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Developed Regional Hospital Helipad Directory which was used as a national standard. Regional advisor for new hospital helipad planning. Developed helicopter routes for FAA navigational charts. Developed in-flight training program for FAA Air Traffic Controllers. Coordinated multi-state 9/11 helicopter response. After five years of research, inspired award winning production of a documentary recognizing nurses’ contribution to the Vietnam war effort. Participated as an interviewee for two episodes of an ongoing documentary series which focused on Vietnam era experimental attack aircraft proposals which were passed over by the Pentagon. Interviewee for the National Museum of Americans in Wartime. Produced Air Expos featuring WWII aircraft, but more importantly, included many of the numerous wartime aviation heroes that flew them, including Pearl Harbor survivors, D-Day invasion combatants, POWs and Tuskegee Airmen (African American WWII fighter/bomber squadron).
